I wonder if people still experience their grandparents the way we did as children. Just thinking the word “grandma” brings to mind the sweet scent of peaches on a hot summer’s day. I'm sorry to read this, dear sir.

All four of my grandparents have been gone for at least a decade or more, but my memories are still "kid" memories.

It's amazing that both your grandparents were blind. As you say, it was even more challenging and misunderstood then.

This is a lovely tribute, sweetie. I'm sending you good thoughts for a certain kind of peace of your own as you go through the grieving process.

Your Grandma sounds wonderful, ALMOST as wonderful as my Granny. I lost my Granny two years ago in January, and it still hurts sometimes. I know you miss her even though she is in a better place; her being there doesn't stop you from missing her. Take care.
