Since January or so my sister has been attending church regularly and suddenly it's, "I think God has led me to do this" and "I prayed about it and God doesn't want me to do that" etc. I can't help but think that it sure is convenient to be able to blame God or claim God at your disposal in relation to the decisions you are making. Do you think I'll go to hell if I start flippantly doing the same thing back to her? If she asks me to do something that I really don't feel like doing... I'll tell her that I prayed about it and I don't think God wants me to. :/

Yeah, I'm very familiar with that kind of thinking. I went to a small Christian college as an undergrad, and I heard people blame (excuse me, refer to) God for everything from where to go on Spring Break to breaking up with a boy/girlfriend.

I don't know about going to hell for it, but I think sarcastically telling your sister the same thing is hilarious! BTW, does she go to either Highland or Antioch? Those churches seem to love that type of stuff...
