Harboring Delusions

Good news: I emailed my third chapter to my committee chair last week. Less good news: I already realize several places that need to be revised, and this before I've gotten any feedback! Well, at least it's easier to revise than to write from nothing.

Congrats on your third chapter! I'm sure making the revisions won't be too big a pain. At least you realized you needed to make them at all.

Sounds like you had a good time with your friend. Hope all is going well for you in general.

Thank you, thank you.

I googled "dissertation" and "procrastination" and got a ton of hits; one site stressed that the dissertation is the first time a student writes anything nearly this long, so we shouldn't get caught up in making it perfect. I'm trying to remember that because I could tinker with any of these chapters for the next year and still find things to change!

I may have rubbed The Man the wrong way, but after we drove off the base, Martin turned to me and joked, "Man, we could be on our way to Guantanamo right now!"
