Navel Gazing about Journals

I wonder what other people's experiences are with continuing journals, whether online or written?

Once in awhile I might go a month or two with no posts on livejournal, but for the most part, I'm pleasantly surprised with myself that I've kept up with this for over two years. Sometimes, I have to plan ahead and ecide what I'm going to post on the ( Read more... )

I used to have an LJ for writing about my time abroad. Of course, limited internet access kept me from writing in either of my online journals much, but it's still out there (brigid_abroad.livejournal.com). I also occasionally post on MySpace, but I still haven't figured out why I post some things there and not on LJ.

Anyway, I think it's cool. I'd do two if I could handle it, but I can't.

It doesn't take that long to write and post something, but it does seem to me that a typical blog takes a disproportionate amount of effort, making it harder to do more than one than I think it should...

I glanced at your brigid_abroad (like the green, not so sure about the Ben Folds worship), but I'll have to read more of it later.

I'm re-reading it now. It's funny to recap my Italian adventures.

P.S. I still love Ben Folds! And I totally went to the LA show. :P

I have more journals than I can keep up with! Most are ones I don't share with anybody who actually knows me, so I can stay behind the cloak of anonymity. Oddly enough, the two most folks know about (here and at MySpace) are all too often repeats of each other...

I wish I could share more enthusiasm for the sports, but I'm missing that gene. :(

Without tipping us off to these other journals, could you at least tell us what they are geared towards, or are they more general, like lj or myspace?

They're all pretty general, although at least one of them gets more awful poetry than my lbangs one does. Be thankful. :)

Ha! I've never been brave enough to post any kind of creative writing on the internet, anonymously or not.
