Okay, the more old TV shows I watch, the more I start to see similarities between my previous favorite shows, and Supernatural. I thought I'd just point out a few of my favorite references that Kripke's tossed out there for your viewing pleasure, and see how many of you on my flist can also add to this list. Holy shit Xena and Charmed, how come I never thought of that? I mean I was talking about how much the fourth season reminded me of Xena, it just never seemed to click that the rest of the show reminded me of Xena too. I haven't seen that many Charmed episodes, but from what I have seen....yeah, Supernatural totally reminds me of that show as well.

As of right now I can't think of anything other shows. If one pops up at me, I'll grope you a line.

dude thought of one (mostly for season four), Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Ok well it's Season Six of BtVS for Season Four of SPN, but still, it reminds me of it XD

Agreed, there are a lot of things that kind of played out along similar veins, aren't there? I wonder just how many we could find if we tried XD.

Never thought of Xena, and maybe Q is a trickster LOL. And I did my own, with Buffy/Angel Here. I also see parallels with B5: Kosh/Sheridan & Castiel/Dean.

I'm watching Xena, Charmed and Star Trek TNG in reruns 5 days a week XD so I'm kinda getting all the similarities in flash forward lately. Yeah, there are a lot of similarities between B/A, and from B5 too O.O I never thought of that one!

At one point I likened the Shadow/Vorlon manipulation of humans to the angels/demons, with them wanting a war that humankind did not.

o.o Whoa... And I just read your buffy/angel comparison, man there's so many similarities. Kripke's just a big ol' fanboy XDDD.

Those are some great similarities and I never noticed them myself, but I guess once you see them, then you start seeing them everywhere, but the bond the brothers have is awesome!
