you should read (or re-read) please kill me before you do those shows. it will inspire you to change your town.

people are getting depressed and crazy, and need an outlet.

I think what drives me the most crazy is that I've been changing my town for almost 10 years now. Despite that the shittiest music imaginable still thrives. Sure..people always enjoy the bands I bring through town but it gets old. I feel like I'm fighting a neverending battle.

I SHOULD re-read please kill me. Not only will it inspire but it's an amazing book.

well, damn, man... i know how that feels. touring bands often call portland "the town where no one does anything" and it's kinda true. i wish i didn't live here.

get everyone you know to read it then, maybe?

you're the only person i've seen on LJ who lists the pink faeries/twink and the zerfas as interests, they're both great. also, i'm adding you, if that's cool.

I absolutely love twink/pink faeries..that actually got me in the FYC. I haven't been too active in the FYC in about 6 months though. it all started getting really petty and the amount of bad music being passed through on the basis of irony was driving me nuts. I still watch it though and it's a ton of fun sometimes.

Anyway...i'll add you back. It's hard to find anyone into the good psych stuff.

Haven't heard the other two though. What's recommended listening by each of them? I'll check it out.

So are you purely into all that 60s psych stuff or is that just where the passion is? I've been rocking this Tiffany Shade record alot lately. Man...step aside 13th floor elevators!
