To my American friends, I'm so happy for you. I'm so happy for the world at large. Congratulations doesn't seem quite apt. President Obama (gee that sounds fucking great doesn't it?) doesn't have an enviable task ahead of him, but he seems more than capable of grabbing the reins, taking the wheel or whatever other analogy can be made to convey ( Read more... )

I'm so relieved that McCain and Palin not only lost, but lost massively to Obama. It has definitely helped me to regain some faith in the U.S.

It's a definite shame though about Prop 8 and similar anti-gay measures passing in three other states....sigh.
