God fucking damn assholes, I was watching them play as I was eating my dinner and all that went through my mind was jealousy. I have always wanted to play on a team or league, but I haven't played since I was like seven and never got any good. I'm sure there are leagues back in Vegas, but I would be such a novice at it I would embarass myself. So

I'd play a game of hockey. Im all of 2 hours away so provided its on a weekend I can easily pull it off (so long as the Army doesn't pick some random detail for me AGAIN)

Anyway try to enjoy your deployment, man. Alot of the Air Force guys out here act like it's the end of the world, dunno if thats how all of you feel, but you shouldn't. It's not something everyone gets to do, and just remember WHY you're doing it.

awesome, my parents are trying to look into getting equipment and such. It can be anytime the most people are available and want to play.

This deployment is by no means the end of the world. I was actually asking my section chief when I could go, because my shop isn't on an aef (deployment cycle) so if they need a body you are eligible to go. I'm excited to be here, its not something everyone gets to do your right. I also get to join this Veterans of foreign war assosiation which is badass. I hear all the stories out here of what the predator does, or what the marines are doing out here and it really feels like we make a difference and are helping out the locals.
