Clean bill of health

I had brought up some heart pain to the military doctor a couple weeks ago during my pha appointment. Now that is has come to a close I got two different perspectives on military and civilian doctors ( Read more... )

When it comes to things like possible heart issues the military doctors are going to do their best to pawn you off into the civilian wold. Why? It's called CYA. If its a big deal and something happens to you, your family gets to sue the civilian, not the Army/Air Force/Whatever. Probably had nothing to do with his knowledge so much as their SOP.

Very true. But I am pretty sure you can't sue any military doctor, I mean you get the shit for free anyway. Most likely if something serious happens the government will pay your family and the gov would deal with the individual properly. I could be mistaken. I never looked into it, I have always just assumed that was more a civilian thing and military was somehow above it.
