Yeah, so I got a new computer, went and put it all together, cheered when it worked (first one I ever built myself) and then promptly had problems with Windows. Everytime I try to run something like games or whatnot it seems to crash after a while, either resetting or just freezing up. Anyone got any ideas what it could be? I've spent a week

Just need to check, is this the one who used to be known as purplechocolate? Was hoping to give you a ring recently but been busy trying to make evil things work, and was gonna pop over the last time I was down but got held up and ended up not making it sorry :(. I'll give ya a ring sometime this week anyway, so don't be surprised :).

That, dear boy, is unlikely to be the fault of Mr. Gates or his cronies, but more likely down to something to do with your graphics card (is where I'm going to guess at least).

God I hope not, I was thinking that it might be Gates cause I had to keep on reinstalling windows, with one copy not detecting the whole hard drive when installing and other problems (pre-SP2 I think was the problem there). I was thinking it might be a hardware problem but was dreading the thought, graphics card sounds about right, I remember I had a problem with one on my old one, turned out that its fan was blocked and it was overheating, didn't find this out till after it died however. Still, I reserve the right to scream at ol' Bill whenever I choose, good for letting off steam hehe.
