I got a job!
Yay!
They want me to start tomorrow. It's a long commute from my house, but it's full-time work at an excellent print shop, and I'll be making a little bit more than at my last job (most importantly, I'll be making a lot more than I am on unemployment). -

Yesterday, Vespa was looking pretty bad. She was sneezing a lot, her eyes were running and she was lethargic. But the vet said that as long as she was still eating and drinking (which she was) she would probably recover on her own without any medical treatment ( Read more... ) -

We took Vespa to the vet for her first checkup. She's 2.7 lbs and healthy except for an upper respiratory infection (a cold). She should be fine as long as she keeps eating and playing. -

Voices
I've noticed a strange side-effect of the internet. Whenever I interact with someone online, I unconsciously build a mental image of sorts of what their voice sounds like. I hear it whenever I read their posts, comments and emails. But then if/when I hear them for the first time, their voice is often very different than I had imagined, which causes ( Read more... ) -

I think I accidentally left my art bin at my parents' house. I have all my drawing paper, and my markers, but no drawing pencils of pens, and I'm starting to get withdrawals. Working on art on the computer has helped some, and I'll be going back down the hill tomorrow, so all will be well again.
