No, Traci, I am NOT sick of you. *mondo hugs* In fact, I don't think that this kind of thing can or will ever happen. Unless I'm dead, of course. *lol* Something which probably isn't gonna happen anytime soon

Are the names Blackie and Socks supposed to be ironic? So, is like the black cat the one called Socks and the white cat the one called Blackie? And duuuuuuuude! He's an albino too (Pink eyes and all)! That is sooooooooooo damned rad (as in crazy-cool)!
So, Blackie would've been actually the opposite of the people color for black...As opposed to the absence of color, his fur would be the totality of all colors together.
Anyways, I only ask, because usually Socks is what you name a dark-colored cat who has white-furred paws, and looks like he's wearing people socks. And Blackie would be the name of an all-black cat.
I tend to go back and forth between cats and dogs, tbh. I'm fairly certain if you show me a picture of either one at any moment, it'd be a fair toss up.
I'm probably a little more inclined to cats, just because my friend's a little more inclined to dogs and we can't decide which we want when we move in.
If only I had a pic of Elvis and a pic of Brutus to share, Ken, for then you REALLY would be torn. One's a sugary-sweet and sleek black cat. The other's a sugary-sweet and BIIIIIIIG brown dog.
As for you and your friend? I have the perfect solution. Get one of each. *grin* That way, you don't have to choose.
And if you get them when they're both still young, they very probably could get along just like peas and carrots. :)
Case in point? My brother's dog (Brutus) and my soon-to-be-sister-in-law's cat (??? - I can never recall her name) are BOTH love sponges. It's gotten so silly that the cat actually tries to bark like a dog. Maybe she thinks she IS a dog. *lol* ;) And they not only like people, they also like each other as well (and by 'like', I do NOT mean just "tolerate," I mean that they genuinely like and get along with each other).
