As for ToE Online, it's been in closed beta for a while, IIRC. I seem to recall hearing they just opened up a second round of beta testing to people who applied. Maybe John's in on it?

Hells yes! Come on, like I wasn't going to buy ToEO the moment it came out?

I participated in the open beta for a week or two, and I liked it quite a bit. I know I don't have much time to play now (which is why I haven't signed on for the monthly fee yet), but I still had to buy it on day one. You can download it too, but the retail version comes with a special DVD that has an opening anime movie (which, oddly enough, has like zero impact without a vocal song attached, sadly), and some bonus stuff like concept art, original ToE art, and this 11-minute skit-style video recap of ToE hosted by Farah, Reid, Meredy and Keele (which is actually pretty cool).

FFXII Potion? Not so cool.
