Too Many Games...Again

Jan 14, 2007 02:43

A little over a year ago I was complaining about there being too many games to play, but now it's about 10 times worse. I have stacks of unplayed games sitting here but no time to play them. Between playing games for work (which are usually long, involving RPGs) and trying to do everything else I want to in life (study, read, exercise, learn, ( Read more... )

Sucks then that this year is looking like a great one for awesome games.

Bioshock baby, you know you want it.

Hmm...I don't know. Perhaps that's good, as I don't want to get too hung up on too many games. The WoW expansion will be big for me. I'm excited for Metroid Prime 3, as well as Castlevania: SotN on XBL. Oh, and I suppose whatever shooter Treasure is coming up with. Who knows if that will make 07 though. Other than that, not a lot.

Should give me some time to replay Skies of Arcadia and get into Starflight for the Genesis again. I've been wanting to do that for a while now.

Yeah I've never played the original, so for me it'll be a whole new game. I can see people who had already played it being "meh" about it. That's how I am about all the retro games on XBLA.

Hey there, happy new years! Anyways... like ferricide says, you just kinda fall into it... ignore "official" threads on the games at NeoGAF and try to ignore the hype... start out by resisting one or two of the big games, and soon it'll be second nature. The NeoGAF hype used to get me every time, I feel like I *HAD* to get the game and play, just to keep up to date with all the other forumers...

I haven't touched a lot of games either, FFXII, Okami, Baten Kaitos:Origins, Metal Saga RE4... and I got a $100 GameStop gift certificate for Christmas that right now is collecting dust, since I haven't even found anything I want. This year for me was a year of LONG epic games - Zelda, DDS1, DQ8... and now I find myself leaning more towards the pick up and play games - such as the VC's offerings.

Is a must have for me! I also look foward to playing Dawn of Mana and MGS4 of course.

I'm also guilty of missing some big stuff. Shadow of the Colossus for one (technically I did play the first encounter and was a bit turned off by the controls). I never touched any of the new Prince of Persias. I even borrowed the first one from a friend, where it collected dust before said friend asked for it back. I think that is the first time I have borrowed something and never used it! God of War is still sitting in its shrinkwrap! I bought that brand new to support another friend of mine that was on the dev team (hopefully he doesn't read this). Yet I never got around to cracking it open. I suck. ;P ( ... )

I predict a train wreck, but being the Capcom fan I am I remain hopeful.

Not to hold a conversation with myself in your comments, but I realized that was a pretty fucking harsh and ignorant way of saying how I really feel, especially for a game I've only seen screens of (and I didn't notice an "edit" button in LJ comments). I'm curious and excited, however, 3D fighters from Capcom don't have the greatest history ever. You know? Blarg.
