funny; I started Wind Waker recently (which I had never played) because I was in the mood for a new Zelda

I'm sort of petering out right after getting bombs, with all the zipping around the ocean. well, "zipping" is a bit strong.

I liked Wind Waker quite a bit, but I would've liked it a lot more if they'd actually finished it. It really falls apart near the end. :/ I hope they make another game with that engine someday (PH doesn't count -- I want it in HD).

I loved the hell out of Twilight Princess and enjoyed Wind Waker, but I'm having a hell of a time trying to get into Phantom Hourglass. I'll give it another try once I finish playing through Minish Cap, I guess. Hey, at least you're playing TP on the Gamecube now! That's the only way to play that sucker.

Really? I loved Phantom Hourglass. Got really far into it and never actually finished it, but I'd like to get back to it soon. TP is faring better the second time around, likely because I'm not fighting with the stupid Wiimote...

Yeah, it was fantastic in Super Mario Galaxy -- it just doesn't work when it's tacked on in gimmick-like fashion, IMO (a la TP).

I personally really liked the Wiimote controls for TP. They're very precise and make moving and aiming simultaneously an awesome reality. I recommend giving the Wii version another shot!

When I finish the GC version, I'm going to load up a friend's save on the Wii so he can show me all of the Wii-specific stuff (like shooting arrows with the Wiimote and such) so I can see what I missed. But for now, I'm content with a normal controller. :)
