Ultimately, I find Cedric Diggory to be one character in the HP series I wish we knew more about.  I've read other fanfictions of this pairing before, and I find it to be my favorite so far.  It makes so much sense, sometimes, that I half-wish they'd gotten chance to talk in the books.  But, far be it from me to change a Rowling series...  That

Contrary to the ever-popular belief with this type of pairing, Cedric Diggory was, indeed, a boy. Not a god. He was an injured boy, even! So I portrayed him as such. I'm glad you appreciate my valient efforts...

Well I think you should consider writing more of this pair. You certainly have a good handle on them.

I do try my best to avoid agnst...I get depressed easily...

First thing I have to say (other than a hearty, "Thank you for reading AND commenting!"), is that I like Cedric breathing rather than... not. Not breathing... Even with ghosts, there really isn't a huge world of possibility there... People have done that before and probably better than I would attempt it.

You might try Minisinoo (do hope I spelled that right) for a good Cedric/Hermione story. Trust me, find her and you can't miss it. I think that she does just plain Cedric well too, so it's worth it.

As for the non-breathing Cedric... I always thought this story was particularly sweet... And not even depressing!

Haha! I couldn't agree more. I've been having a hard time finding fics that fit, though. And most of the ones I do find make me all weepy because I know how they end. Gar.

Believe it or not, I think I found Minisinoo's Cedric rec-page. I didn't know it was her at the time (at least, I think it's her), but it had a lot of great stories listed.

And I'll read Conniving ASAP! Of course, University starts for me tomorrow. But I always seem to have the most time when I have no time at all, if that makes any sense. I'll read it before the end of the week.

You're welcome, very much so, because it is a great, funny story. Truthfully, I don't like reading dead-Ced stories, (that's a pretty good name, newly acquired by myself) because I always thought he was such a... well, lively character, and the fact that he DIES is just... well, more saddening than others in the same situation.

Good luck with the new term. I know I'll certainly be looking forward to mine... That was heavy with the lead-painted sarcasm, by the by.

Thanks much for complimenting and reading. Like I've said before, there isn't a world of possibility in dead-Ced fics. I don't think I could write a very convincing one.

A sequel?... Well, I was thinking about it, but I don't know what I'd write... I had an idea, but after wringing out my almost dried up muse, I realized that it was... well, pretty lame. ; )

Anyway, maybe I will someday, when I can actually THINK of a nice sort of conclusion to the thing. I quite like the end of this as it is, though...

Though this is two years (almost three) too late, I just want to say that... Oh, gosh, I've tried a couple ways to do this story differently, but... I just don't know... *shrugs* I like it where it is, even though it's not the most fulfilling ending. That doesn't mean it will always just sit here though--after all, the future holds many surprises... :P

Anyway, if you like this Cedric/Hermione fic, I have a current (CHAPTERED--AND AT MORE THAN 30,000 WORDS!) story in the works with an update coming sometime before the holidays. If you're interested------>
