Summary: Dianna and Darren introduce their new relationship to their friends.

While Dianna was driving home, she thought about all the wonderful times she had had the short period of time that she had been with Darren. Even though they had just been dating for a month, they had been close friends for a couple of months. Chris had actually started their new found relationship, rather he knows it or not.

One day before tour Chris had invited her over his house with a promise of drinks and a good time. Dianna didn’t have any plans so she headed over to his house to watch Gone with the Wind (her, Chris, and Lea all had a love for old movies). Darren had interrupted their movie half way through, having just broken up with Mia and not wanting to be alone. This was the first time that Dianna and Darren had actually hung out together without the entire glee cast, well Chris was there, but it was still something.

Dianna was always fond of Darren, but their conflicting schedules didn’t give them much time to hang out at un-glee related events. That night ended with Chris keeping them out and they found a local coffee shop, got coffee, and headed back to Di’s place where they marathoned Disney movies.

She smiled at the memory; that was the night she started looking at him as someone more than a friend. One of the best nights of her life. She pulled up to her apartment building and waved at Tim, her lobby manager, before she made her way up the stairs, still smiling.
As soon as she opened her door, she was greeted with Lea staring at her, an unreadable expression on her face.

“Umm, hi?” Dianna tried, mustering up a hopefully unguilty smile.

“Dianna Elise, where in the world have you been?” Lea asked, standing up and walking towards her. “And why do you have the same clothes you had on at dinner last night?”

Dianna’s smile dropped and she walked more into her house, toward her room, Lea behind her. “I was at a friend’s house.”

“What friend?” Lea asked, and Dianna sighed, frustrated. She knew how Lea was and that she meant the best, but she really just wasn’t ready to tell her.

“A guy friend, it’s not important! Can you make some popcorn while I grab a quick shower?” Pressed for time, Dianna tried to change the subject, it was 12:30, and they’d probably end up watching more than one movie. And since she would most likely shower again before she left for dinner that night, she didn’t need to be in there for that long.

“You better be lucky I’m a good friend and can tell you don’t want to talk about it, I’ll drop it. For now, I’ll find out though, Ms. Agron.”

---

After three movies (Casablanca, Breakfast at Tiffanys, and Sabrina), it was 6:45 and Dianna hadn’t even began to get ready.

“Oh shit,” she said, after noticing the time.

“What?” Lea asked.

“Someone is coming to pick me up in 45 minutes and I haven’t started getting ready yet, I don’t even know what I’m going to wear!” Dianna shot up and ran to her closet and started looking through her clothes, should she wear a dress or jeans? Were they going somewhere casual or formal? She wanted to make a good first impression. “Lea, can you bring my phone in here?”

Lea brought her phone to the closet and handed it to her. Dianna sent a quick text out to Darren asking if they were going formal or casual.

“Where are you going?”

Dianna wasn’t really paying attention to what she was saying so she told Lea, “I’m going to dinner with Darren and I’m meeting some of his friends.”

Lea’s eyes widened and thought over the past couple of days, Di being depressed but not telling her why, saying she was going to dinner with Darren last night, making her watch A Very Potter Musical and its sequel, it all made sense, finally. “How did I not see that coming?”

“See wha--,” realizing what she just said Dianna groaned. “That’s not how I wanted you to find out. “ She ran a hand through her hair. “I know we need to talk about this but I need to shower and get dressed and I really don’t have time for this right now, so you can yell at me all you want tomorrow but could you please help me get ready now? I’ve never met any of the Starkids before and I really want to make a good impression.”

Lea just shook her head and took Dianna’s phone out of her hand, she saw that Darren had texted back casual and she started going around the closet, picking up things on the way. She ended up picking out a pair of jeans, flats, a floral tank top, and a cardigan. Dianna smiled gratefully, grabbed the clothes and made her way to the bathroom.

While Dianna was in the bathroom, there was a knock on the door and Lea got up to answer it, hearing Darren humming lightly through the door. Lea smiled, this was going to be fun.

She pulled the door open and put on her surprised face when she noticed it was him. “Oh Darren, what are you doing here?”

“Fuck, she didn’t tell you?” Darren rubbed that back of his neck, obviously nervous.

“Tell me what? What in the world are you talking about Darren?” She feigned innocence. “Come in, we might not want anyone hearing this conversation.”

Darren walked in, cheeks slightly darkened. “So, um, where’s Di?”

“She’s getting dressed right now, we were watching movies and time got away from us, she shouldn’t be long.” There was an awkward silence that filled the air and after a few moments Lea laughed. “Stop acting so nervous, I know.” Lea smiled at him.

“God, you suck. I was freaking out internally.” Darren sighed relieved.

“Don’t stop freaking out just yet, she hasn’t told me anything, spill it, Mr. Criss” Lea crossed her arms over her chest and smirked at him.

“Well you see,” he started to explain but at that exact moment Dianna walked out of her room. “Hey beautiful, you ready?”

Dianna nodded her head and smiled, walking up to him and kissing him on the cheek. “Hi.”
Lea cleared her throat, “You guys just can’t leave me here, y’know?”

Dianna laughed, “But that’s the thing Lea, we can. You have a key.” She walked to Lea and hugged her, thanking her for helping her find an outfit.

She grabbed Darren’s hand and pulled him towards the door. “Lock up when you leave please, love you!”

Lea just shook her head, she could get used to them being together.
