Oh~ This is somewhat haunting, (and very good). I grew up with Sailor Moon and I think the style/feel of the show affekt much of my tast in media today.

Thank you! I loved Sailor Moon when I was young, too. I used to record the show every morning, because it came on while I was at school, and then when I got to college and discovered there was more than a season and a half I just about died of delight. I still have my S-season fansubs. Did you hear that Viz is releasing all five seasons on DVD/Blu-ray starting this fall? Finally get to see Stars in high-def instead of pixelly youtube!

Interesting little piece about Neptune, i wonder who juno is tho, i dont recall the name from the series.

Also, how do you feel about the remake, a should be june or july that it starts

I made Juno up. Someone would've had to guide Michiru through learning how to use her wand, track monsters, use attacks, etc., and it clearly wasn't Luna, Artemis, or Pluto, who would've been the only canon characters available.

I'm really excited to see the new series! Though I do wish there'd be more about Uranus and Neptune. What are they doing while the Inners are being awakened?

Nicely done. Kinda dark, but Michiru isn't exactly a bright character.

And now my mind is filled with images of a world with senshi, but no Sailor Moon. And it's as dark Akumu, if not worse. Damn. Why does my mind go down those paths, but I can't write that dark? *pouts at muse*

Thanks! Poor Michiru; I was watching the end of her flashback clip, the one where she meets Haruka and is injured blocking her from getting the Uranus wand, and while she was talking weakly in Haruka's arms, she kept saying "I chose this life". And I went, "honey, no, you're all of fourteen in that clip and have clearly had months or even years of experience, you couldn't have had any sort of choice at all, but what happened that you're clinging to that belief so hard?" And then I went "... where are your parents?"

I don't see a Moonless Scout-verse as being quite as dark as Akumu. A lot more hopeless, yes, with the Scouts constantly dying in desperate last stands against the forces of Darkness and (presumably) being reborn to grow up and fight again, but without them turning evil or remembering their previous incarnations and therefore falling to despair and turning evil, it's more Madoka Magica than Akumu. But it would be pretty bad, yes.
