“You’re kidding me right?”
Junhong blushed all the way up to his ears. “N-No?” He was currently regretting all of his life’s decisions and was hoping a hole would swallow him whole. “A simple ‘no’ would have worked, too.”
Jongup was still staring at him like he was insane and Junhong wished he had never even opened his mouth and asked for the insane favor.
With a grumble, he turned to storm off and plead with his parents to send him to military school. “Stupid, stupid Junhong.”
“Wait.” Jongup’s hand slapped over his arm. “Just answer one question. Why did you ask me?”
He chewed on his lower lip as he stared over the top of Jongup’s head. “I don’t want to be the only boy in high school who’s never kissed someone anymore. I overheard the seniors making fun of Youngjae in the locker room. He just got a girlfriend and Himchan teased him for never having one before and called him a baby.” Junhong shrugged and finally looked down at his friend. “You’re the only friend I have. And I already know you and Yongguk made out under the bleachers after the Halloween hayride so I knew you at least wouldn’t think I was gross for asking.”
This time it was Jongup who reddened, his eyes widening as he tried to answer. “I don’t think you’re gross. Yongguk told everyone that?” He sputtered out in embarrassment.
“I’m not gross but the thought of kissing me still makes you freaked out?”
“Something like that.” Jongup’s lips curled upwards so that Junhong would know he wasn’t serious. “Okay.” He nodded, more to convince himself than Junhong. “Okay, let’s do it.”
He took a step forward, arms outstretched but Junhong shoved him backwards in alarm. “Here? Now?”
Jongup rolled his eyes at his best friend’s terrified expression. “Well you asked didn’t you? When did you want to do it?” It wasn’t his fault he was so panic-stricken. A part of him never dared to dream Jongup would agree to his questions of Hey, what would you do if I asked you to kiss me? So he wasn’t at all prepared and they might have been alone in this corner of the park but it was still the middle of the day and-
“You look like you’re going to throw up.”
Jongup’s dry remark snapped him out of his inner rant.
“Maybe this is a bad idea.”
The older boy’s cocky face, the one Junhong knew he rarely used, emerged as he cautiously started to back Junhong into the tree behind them. “Why is that? Are you disgusted now?” Junhong’s shoulder’s hit the bark with a painful thump. “Tell me how long you’ve been thinking about this. Tell me what made you want to ask me.” His body was warm against Junhong, the thin cotton of his tank top barely enough material to stop from feeling his hard chest underneath.
“Y-Yongguk.” Junhong didn’t know what to do with his hands. They were clenching and unclenching and raising and lowering and even with his recent growth spurt Jongup was still able to make him feel like a child. “He said he’d never been with someone who could get him off just by kissing alone.” The memory of the rush of heat the statement had sent through Junhong had his blood boiling like fire under his t-shirt and jeans. It had been almost six months and he still couldn’t get it out of his mind. “I want a first kiss like that.”
Jongup smiled, his demeanor now completely in control and nothing like the nervous boy he was just a few moments ago. “Are you sure you don’t want to wait and have a big romantic first kiss? I’m not a slow type of person.”
That was just insulting. He stood up straight and glowered down at the smaller boy. “Maybe I don’t want to be one either. Maybe I don’t want romance.”
“Of course you do.” Jongup’s eyes were sad, but he quickly shook it away. “Put your arms around my neck.” He slid closer, arms encircling Junhong’s hips. “Do it. Before you lose your nerve again.”
Junhong wrapped himself around Jongup, one hand bunching into the neck of his tank top and the other tangling into Jongup’s soft brown hair. “Promise not to laugh?” He murmured bashfully right before Jongup’s lips touched his.
Instead of answering, Jongup lightly pressed his mouth onto Junhong’s tightly closed one. He laughed and tickled the taller boy’s sides until Junhong was forced to smile and his mouth slanted across Jongup’s inviting one.
In all of his fantasies (and okay, there had been several), he never expected to actually be standing here with Jongup pressed against him and Jongup’s breath hitting his face as he leaned back just slightly to gauge Junhong’s reaction.
“You feel better now?”
No. He didn’t. Because his heart was still racing and he could still feel the touch of Jongup’s mouth on his and it only made him want more.
He opened his mouth and probably looked like an idiot as he tried to admit what was running through his head. “I wanted a real kiss. With tongue.” At Jongup’s dark stare he knew he had won and wondered if his best friend could be baited. “You said you don’t do slow.”
Jongup let out a low growl before he tugged Junhong to the ground without caring that he threw him down in a pile of grass and leaves. Before Junhong could even question what was happening he was shut up with a lap full of his best friend and a soft tongue flicking experimentally at the seam of his lips.
“Just do what I do.” Jongup assured him, feeling the hesitation under him. He palmed Junhong’s cheek comfortingly, other hand bracing himself on the hard ground as he waited for Junhong to open up to him.
The flutter against his lips was shy and hesitant but Jongup was done breaking him in and he wasted no time in capturing it between his teeth and pulling it inside his own mouth, sucking hard enough to have Junhong gasping underneath him. His best friend was totally inexperienced, the movements his lips made were sloppy and they bumped noses more than a half a dozen times by the time Jongup had him calmed down and body lax below him. He needed a breath and knew Junhong was close to passing out by the strangled breaths against him but now that he had started Jongup didn’t know if he could ever stop. Junhong started to move with him instead of against him and their kiss grew deeper, rougher.
“Jonguppie?” Junhong’s muffled voice was still timid but his hands were growing braver, slipping under the back of his shirt and scratching gently down his skin. “I need…?”
He could tell exactly what Junhong needed. The press against his leg wasn’t subtle and it had taken all of his strength to keep Junhong from bucking up into him. But for as much as he was big talk, Moon Jongup was first and foremost Junhong’s best friend.
“Shh.” He nuzzled his face against Junhong’s neck and breathed in the mix of grass and sweat that he would always associate with this exact moment. “Not yet, Junhong.”
“Next time?” Junhong pulled him back up and met him in the middle, taking the control away from Jongup as he twisted them around ending up between Jongup’s spread legs.
Jongup shrugged his shoulders and smiled. “Did you really want to get your first kiss over with or did you just want to make out with me?”
“A little of both.” With an unexpected jerk, Junhong pressed tighter against him making Jongup shamefully whine. “And I really want to shove it in Yongguk’s face that I got to fuck you and he didn’t.”
