I really like how they're talking about it while they're not actually talking about it. It reminds me of a shortstory by Hemingway we read in school once.
I don't know the title, it was a man and a woman talking about an abortion, I think, in a café. But like I said, we read it in school, so that was some time ago, so I might mix it up with something else.
Wow, that's ... I don't even know. But yes, it gives me the shivers.
They say he didn't even write it. But it doesn't really matter, in the end, someone did, and it's painful and scary... And I never knew how thin is the line between being pregnant and not being pregnant (abortion, miscarriage...) until my sis' doctors scared the crap out of us all. The amount of check-ups and tests a pregnant woman has to go through... Every week, there's something, every week you're terrified they'll tell you the baby's got six fingers instead of five and two heads or a head missing... Luckily, Jitka's started her fifth month and according to all tests, Anička is completely okay, and has the right number of everything. So apparently, pregnancy is for the brave and lucky.

What story? I know only this one: “For sale: Baby shoes. Never worn.” Still gives me the shivers. Especially lately.
