Click to viewI think JLo is overrated as a singer and a so so actress, but I respect her for her smart business sense and I liked her in 'Selena'. I was disappointed in Ice Age 4 as I felt that her character and Diego deserved more screentime. I was cleaning last week when I heard this. I swear, I never expected to be this addicted!!
As I said, I don't care for Top40s but man, this is catchy!! This 4th grade girl I was tutoring was singing this. I thought it was adorable.

I always loved Thompson Twins. Too bad they haven't done much since the early 1990s. My favorite was "Lies" but I am also loving this one. Totally and criminally underrated!!

I love how this segues into 'Simba Confronts Scar' towards the end. This is so emotional and powerful. It's tragic but it also empowering. It starts out low but then it climaxes into this beautiful crescendo.

I swear, this sounds like something out of an early 80s fantasy movie. I can picture it already. Something like a cross between "Dark Crystal" and "Labyrinth". This is a perfect song for when someone is escaping the Evil Goblin King or something.

I could not find the full version so this will have to do. I am blaming a friend for this one. I watched this not too long ago. An old favorite. They don't make them like they used to! I think it's neat that George Saunders ("Shere Khan") was also Mr. Freeze in the 60s Batman.

If you think "I'm sexy and I know it" is dirty, check this out! I remember when this one was huge. One of my mom's friends had a daughter who was a few years older than me and one time during a party this song was playing. Memories! It was not an age appropriate song. Needless to say, when she said 'so give my cat a kiss'*, I took it as quite literal!
*IN this video she says 'so you can get with this' and makes the meow sound.
