If the sighted man seeks peace, he may have to be content with shadow. There is, after all, beauty in mystery.
What makes you think the blind man has no fear of shadows? Assuming this is true, surely there are limits to his other senses just as there are limits to the first man's sight.
In the end both men are blind to a degree. If they are wise they will acknowledge their blindness and use what sight they have. From this standpoint, I agree with Aynsley's question. What is better?
