It's been over three weeks since I wrote a decent bit of dialogue. Never mind a joke that was funny. I need to... do something. Everything I write winds up sounding vaguely like a dry speech on the furnishings in the Lincoln bedroom. And that's not the way into a producer's heart ( Read more... )

Thank you. I've been trying for weeks to get that information out of him, with absolutely no luck.

The way into a producer's heart is knowing the closest person to the producer's heart and having your assistant give that person's assistant a call. Talent helps, though.

He doesn't like to admit to his age. I think he's afraid people won't believe him or won't take him seriously.

The way into the hearts of the producers I've met is sex or a fabulous screenplay. Preferably both. I'm not willing to do the first and the second has been a bit of an issue lately.

Oh, like no one would have figured it out on their own eventually? I just charted the ship's course a little more closely.

WOuld you? I could really use the help because everything I write lately that isn't related to work sounds like crap.
