Mid-life crisis

We, as a society, preach "living day to day" and "taking advantage of life" but what we instill day to day in the school system that you are legally bound to participate in (until the age of 16 when you can legally drop out) is that you have to work toward one goal. a "purpose driven life". right there. those words drive me to sleepless nights. i wouldn't necessarily call this a mid-life crisis. it's more of an all-life crisis to me. if we didnt have a purpose... we wouldnt have a motive for everything we do. if we didnt have a motive, we would just be moving particle in existence who just... are. and whats the punishment for not doing anytthing? an early death? a miserable life? well, what if theres more of a punishment after death? what if the years we spend alive mean nothing because once we die, that's it, there really is no such thing as soul or heaven or hell...

oh man oh man! i wish we had answers to all this shit... it's so confusing!

i think we just gotta live. and living doesnt mean worrying about others around you or constant bullshit that takes our minds off of reality.
