Well, I think tonight's froshie orientation was a good litmus test on
how this year is going to turn out. Everybody in ASB is just about
clicking with each other for once, and all the froshies seem somewhat
excited about the idea of coming to our humble high school.
...and
I found myself, once again, having to stay behind a half hour
post-event with a few other kids in order to help one techie finish
clean-up while the majority decided to bail without a thought and call
it a night, and in the process of trying to put away all the heavy
stuff, I think my knee was messed up even further. It's really hurting
now. But anyway...
I think this year can
be good, and even thought I doubt how effective this will be, please
try to put some effort into making the year
better. Treat this year's batch of freshmen decently, and maybe even go
so far as to try to adopt one for your group and give it a
tender nickname and watch it flourish with some TLC (The Rebels did
this last year with Switchblade). Please try to come to float at
least once this year, which has been thankfully extended a few
weeks making the task a little bit easier, because it's going to be
harder without the parents there to help. If you have any great
ideas, no matter how insane, get a hold of me and I'll see what I can
do. I need to go ice my knee and get to sleep, but try to have an awesome year, especially you seniors.
