Yeah, I'm on a writing kick.

Back when rachelcaine and I used to send Highlander fanfic to each other (MANY years ago), we challenged ourselves to write outside our comfort zones. I decided to do that this month, and tackled a couple Huddy ideas (apologies to non-Huds on my f-list ... heheh). It's been fun trying to see things from that point of view. I think the best way to improve is to write what you don't usually focus on, which often involves going out of your comfort zone. If you don't, then you just get good at writing one thing. My favourite authors are the ones that can make me cry one day and fall over laughing the next, and they're typically able to do that because they write everything.
