That is awesome and wonderful and all other good words!
I love Ani. Her music got me through several rough years. Love her.
A little part of me is jealous. The vast majority of me is just really happy for you!

I'll never forget seeing Ani for free in St. Louis. She performed on a barge in the river, and I sat under The Arch. It solidified my love for the city, that it could bring in such nifty things, and for free.

Maybe even more than the music, I was amazed at her ability to improvise a slam poem. It sounded better than a lot of rehearsed poems I've heard.

So funny, Jon was texting me about this the other night while I was trying to fall asleep, and therefore I forgot about it until just now when I read this, but I am super excited about it and I'm so happy for you and ohmygod I love her. And also, hug the crap out of Andrea for me and tell her that I love her. Seriously.

Are you coming to Nationals? Because I'm coaching a team and I would LOVE to see you there.
