I have a lecturer this year who can't use whiteboards. He keeps calling them "too technologically advanced". Apparently in his good old days, pen caps were non-existant, because we even had to include "Take the cap off!" in our instructions to him. He also couldn't work out that the erasers just had to be rubbed over the writing to erase. *head desk*
I frequently laugh when I read references to record players--for example, there's one in one of my textbooks this semester, with a parenthetical notation to ask one's parents.
We do have one!
And we have tape players!
Also, we got rid of our B & W TV less than ten years ago.
I'm also fairly sure that we're the only family in our town in possession of a working rotary phone.
I want... I'm of the school that firmly believes analog recordings sound better than digital, especially with classical music. And records are pretty cheap these days at the used-book store. Unfortunately, decent record players are hellishly expensive...
