Thor

A Taser is an electroshock weapon that uses electrical current to disrupt voluntary control of muscles. And they're going to include a scene in Thor where the GOD OF THUNDER gets knocked down by an electric weapon? Really?!?

I'm like 99% sure that the point of the scene is to emphasize, whether to the audience or to Thor himself, that having just been cast out of Asgard and stripped of his godly powers means exactly that. Also the fact that mortals have come a long way since sharp sticks and helmets with horns on them.

Better the lesson on mortality come from a taser than a bullet to the head. It'd be a pretty short movie otherwise.

OK, thank you, I like your spin on it, give the Thor fan viewing it a real, "Oh, how the mighty have fallen!" moment.

I guess this is what I get for looking at out-of-context clips.

By the way, I'm really liking the way the actor looks in every scene I've seen. I read another article today that he put on so much muscle that the costume they'd made for him didn't fit anymore. And then of course there's Natalie Portman...!
