There were bits of the plot that were particularly fun to play up to. I enjoyed Keira's discomfort with having gained such power and her conviction that there should be someone better. And later, when she came to realize that she was the one who would have to do it, it was fun to bring that resolve into roleplay. Of course your character should have goals, but it is hard for me to build that kind of thing into a character from the beginning. I like it to arise from the plot, as this did.

Taking nothing away from any of my other excellent Players, I don't have the words to say how meaningful your participation in this adventure series was. I did not set out to make Keira the main character of this story, but that's what she became, and that's because of the way you played her. You've heard me joke that you are "not allowed" to ever stop being in my games, but the reason I say that is sincere. I like to think I'm a pretty good DM, but it takes a Player like you to make a campaign great and truly memorable. I'm telling you, we've got synergy!

Sometimes, campaigns just fade away, but when I know I'm ending a campaign, I like to end it with a bang. It was one of those where you could feel the excitement at the table, the tension, the anticipation. The centerpiece battle was a long, roller coaster ride with a satisfying conclusion. And I honestly don't think that the little trickery I pulled will leave a sour taste in anyone's mouth - by my perception, it was like that tidbit at the end of a good movie that makes you think, "Aha, so that's the door they're leaving open for a sequel!"
