Hello,

This is the first in a three-yearly series of posts about me :)
I'm almost prolific.

Now, I am sure that most of you are like me and while watching the fireworks on TV at midnight, hugging a mug of coffee and a mince pie you couldn't help thinking that what we were actually welcoming in was possibly the worst financial situation since the ( Read more... )

We got your Christmas card, thank you! Please give Nicky and Annie a hug from us, and don't think too much about being unemployed. Half of the US is at the moment, and we haven't spontaneously combusted or anything just yet ;)

Well, I'm lucky in that it is my choice this time. I think I will be able to adapt to the different lifestyle. Heck, I might even post more on LJ and send out addresses!

The dissertation will be around the experiences of second generation British Buddhists - i.e children born into families where the parents converted to Budhhism. Are they Buddhists by default? How are they being taught Buddhism in school - does it resonate with their own or their family's practice? That kind of thing.

PS - Annie's new house is in Burley :)

Thanks Michael. I will look forward to reading about the cruise.
On my cruise Marcus Miller gave two talks specifically on Kind Of Blue, one of them with Herbie Hancock. I listen to that album now from a whole different perspective. Did you get the link I sent you?
