words in a day

My goal this year is to write 100 words a day.  It is a laughable goal.  And that's why it seems to be working so far.

I'm finding that the beauty of a 100 word goal is that it is completely achieveable, while still being a modestly useful amount.  This means that even if I have a horribly hectic day, I can think of my words owed and not get

I resolved on 100 a day and am not freaking about the odd missed day as long as at the end of a month I can point to a 100 a day average. That worked for January. Have been a little lax at the beginning of this month but am stepping up the pace again *G*

Ah, vindication. I'm not merely setting my bar too low (as the unproductive voice of self-deprecation likes to tell me).

Although for me, I really must do 100 a day--long experience shows I cannot be trusted to 'make it up' later.
