Hi Ruric, I'm glad you remember me! I almost don't remember myself.

Throwaway Monkeys -- just one of those placeholder names one comes up with when prompted for a title by Word. A rare foray into SF for me: orphanages are full of kids whose parents died in recent alien attacks. My story focuses the fortunes of two of the boys (one is called Jakob Black--thank you Stephanie Meyers for stealing my name) as they are 'adopted' by a boarding school that is not what it seems.
