I almost bought tapes to learn conversational Apache, but I didn't because they were ten bucks and ten bucks was a lot of money for a 14 year old kid on a cross country trip.

I will PM you my address. If you send me a post card from Thailand I'm seriously going to owe you one.

Those of us who grew up with our culture and traditions and our languages break many a taboo Jonas, when we leave our safe and predictable worlds. I really think that even when our families and elders say, " you must not do this or you must do this!" They know we are breaking new ground in our ventures in the world. It's a big world with so many exciting new places and people. I think they quietly feel pride and joy (Stevie Ray Vaughn )LOL! I love him! They may say no when they really mean yes! I am your elder and I am so proud of you ( ... )

yes, i occasionally mistake Asians for being Navajo - wishing and longing that i would see and visit with familiar words and jokes. :-)
