Hadn't decided yet. I think I'll have three weeks... when the idea first popped in my head I wanted to go to every country possible, but now that I've thought about an itenerary, I think it'll be much better if I concentrate on 3 or 4 countries max. I'm going to avoid the UK and Ireland because I'll probably get a chance to go there with my family one of these days (my brother-in-law is an Irish citezen). I've heard you can fly into Paris for relatively cheap. So I'll probably go to France and Germany for sure, and I'm going to do a little more research before I decide where else to go. I'm kind of leaning towards Italy, but mostly because I feel like I have to go there... but I want to research some other countries before I make a decision.

Definitely go to Italy. Like really definitely. If you had to go to only one country it would be Italy. I've done France, England, Italy, Greece...and Germany in the airport...haha. But Italy was the best, by far. Even if you don't want to go down to Rome or Naples there a lot to do up north...but if you can make it down to Rome, Naples and even Palermo you definitely should. The food in Southern Italy is the best in Europe..bar none.

I've always wanted to do Northern Europe...Sweden, Denmark, Holland...blah blah blah...Oh, and Prague.

I feel like France is a waste of time..which I know is basically sacrilege when talking about a Euro Trip...but I thought Paris was dirty and lame and French people actually do hate your guts.

I have a good friend that did one of the tour things where they schlep you on a bus from location to location this summer. He loved it, and it was fairly affordable. Plus you see all the "must sees," and they do give a bit of time for exploring as well.

I'm planning on backpacking. On my Asia trip I did mostly tours... it was a lot of fun, but one of my favorite time was when I walked around Tokyo alone for a day while on layover on my way to Korea. Plus, my sister has a backpack I can have from her trip.
