Well, we know the 23 players who will be on the US World Cup roster. Although I didn't get to see the announcement live because in ESPN time, 6:00 apparently means 6:35 (Barry Bonds hit another home run, don't you know?) and I had to leave for kickball, I was still able to see the roster eventually and digest my thoughts ( Read more... )

You know what the funny thing is? In the latest (to hit these shores, anyway) issue of FourFourTwo, there's the first of a two-part series on tactics throughout the years. Originally, every team played a 1-1-8, if not a 1-9. And if you weren't a forward, you were considered a wuss. Or whatever they called wusses in the Victorian age.
