Jonathan was on a mission. He'd made certain--triple checking, even--that Rayner was in his lab before he even considered going through with this plan. He could get into a lot of trouble for this, and not just because of the obvious reasons. If Rayner was in with Ba'al, then this could get deadly

Jonathan O'Neil--
I trust I have you to thank for the fact that the only specialist I have in all things Ancient is currently packing his bags for a trip on the Daedalus? Daniel Jackson left my office moments ago after waving a letter from Dr. Elizabeth Weir and yelling someting pretty damned incomprehensible about Ba'al and Goa'uld slaves and impending doom.
He does this on a daily basis, you understand--and I want to make sure he's not running into something that'll send the man back a gibbering mess. I understand your need for his expertise, based on the story he spouted at me, but do me the favor of warning me first next time? Daniel worked into a frezy over something new and exciting is more than I can stand before 7 a.m.

Because it's you, I won't get into a fit over being compared to Him--this time. Don't worry, Hank; you'll get Danny back in one piece. Nothing's gonna hurt him, if I can help it.
Aw. Do I gotta? He's a good guy, but a horrible soldier. Never follows the rules, always going half-cocked into a situation...
...shut up. Sir.
Fine, fine, play nice with Sheppard. Got it. Don't worry, sir. I'll make sure you won't need to send the gang. Though it would be nice to see them again...
Anyway. Pleasure as always, Hank.
Jonathan
