headless horseman

I think there must be some Ohio law which says that a motorcyclist is not allowed to wear a helmet in warm weather.
I don't think I have seen more than two helmets all summer, and I am sure I have seen at least 30 motorcyclists out driving in that time.

Hot cold I just think it is plain stupid not to wear a helmet. Sadly I have lost one friend who was dead set against them and died because of his beliefs.

I have a friend who is still here because he was wearing his helmet and riding gear.

I agree, law or no law, not wearing a helmet is just not wise.

Ohio doesn't require helmets for riders over 17. (It's the same here in CO.)

Many states have actually repealed helmet laws over the years; they were originally enacted due to strong-arming by the Federal government.

Idiots!

I went down at ~15MPH recently. The scratches on my helmet are across the face shield, and I hit my head hard enough that I think I had just a touch of a concussion. I've only once ridden without a helmet, and it was up the driveway and into the garage after working on the bike.

I wrecked my mountain bike once and was damn glad to be wearing my helmet.

I don't motorcycle, but I couldn't imagine doing it w/o a helmet.

Oh, and I think they have the same law regarding warm weather=no helmet in Kentucky.
