I don't really see the common thread here either but I admit to not having a depth of knowledge in poker beyond NLHE.

Still I'm surprised to see some obvious choices left off the list. Obvious to me, anyway.

I just looked over the names and see 3 people who should be on that list and aren't. In fact, I thought I voted for two of them, yet they aren't there? Besides, how relevant is a "championship" that already includes Barry Shulman? But nonetheless, here are a few mistakes I made in omission ( ... )
