As per request from zero_butterfly, a pic of my wall. Win-tokens to the perosn who translates it. It is worth noting that it was not me who wrote this message and that is why I don't know what it says. ( What is written here? )
I'm sorry to say that Babel Fish is quite literally the lose (someone on the Silent Hill community amused me with it recently). It can be handy for translating compound words, but I find the best thing to use overall is Rikai as long as you have a basic grounding in grammar, verb endings and words most often appearing solely in kana. Are you taking Jp at uni?
No, I'm only a dabbler in japanese.. I normally only use babble-fish if I really don't know a kanji and I can't be bothered to crack open the kanji dictionary, but I thought I'd do it for fun here XD
「あなたのほんとうにかわいいてす」is what's written, but that doesn't mean it's quite right! 「あなたは本当に可愛いです」 would make the most sense, include the kanji and fix the grammar - 'you are really/very/truly cute' would be the closest translation.
Today I discovered the best way of describing my Japanese level - I'm supposed to be an intermediate, but I don't actually know how to say intermediate (at least in the academic sense), so I've obviously still got a way to go.
jon, you lose! writing non-sensical Japanese on your wall! barry is correct! although what you've written isn't really a「ほ」but it's missing the vertical line to the left, so it looks more like a 「ま」
loose translation would be: your(not you're) really cute tes.

とにかく、「intermediate」とは学級的な言葉で「中間」を使ってもいい?たとえば「日本語を中間のレベルで話せる」は正しくなくなくなくない?
