Disney is going to push for a Best Picture nomination for Wall-E. While that nomination would not exclude it from being considered for Best Animated feature, some are worried that putting it up for the top prize will split the vote during the nomination process. If nominated, however, it'd be the first animated feature to be considered for Best Picture since 1991's Beauty and the Beast.
Script/plot details are finally up for Judd Apatow's Funny People. It sounds like it could be really good.
Somebody (The LA Times) finally cornered Christopher Nolan to ask him about a third Batman film. I love how cool and modest he is in his response.
I was kinda baffled by the lack of nudity of Dr. Manhattan in the Watchmen trailer, though I attributed it to the fact that it was a "General Audiences" trailer. Seeing that he apparently was nude in the SCREAM 2008 footage, I'm not sure it matters.
According to his YouTube Channel, Troy Duffy has finally begun production on Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day.
A new trailer for the spanish thriller Timecrimes is up, and it really makes me wish I'd seen it at the Chicago International Film Festival.
The Jonas Brothers will star in a movie called, I kid you not, Walter the Farting Dog. The plot "involves liberating a koi fish and thwarting jewel thieves." I couldn't have made that shit up if I tried.
The Footloose remake starring Zac Efron is going full steam ahead over at Paramount.
Amazon listed Eminem's new album "Relapse" for release December 23rd. The date has since been removed, but speculation is now running rampant.
I don't know how I missed it, but apparently Guns 'n' Roses' fabled "Chinese Democracy" is finally announced for release November 23rd.
The demo for Tomb Raider: Underworld is available on Xbox Live today.
Crossover, a Windows-enabling program for the Mac, is available free today until Midnight CST. It'll work for playing PC games on a Mac.
Activision has issued a statement regarding defective Guitar Hero: World Tour drum kits. I think mine are affected by this, so I hope they get more details to us soon.
Some guy hacked a copy of Chrono Trigger in order to propose to his girlfriend. Watch the video- it's so freakin' awesome. And surprisingly romantic.
