Sirius or XM?

If I want a portable receiver (something I can easily take with me on my morning commute on the bus) which receiver do you recommend?

I have Sirius on my dish TV and really like their free form station. VIn Scelsa does sundays and David Johanson (buster poindexter) does fridays. He does the best crazed show I have ever heard. He's reason to be home on friday nights.

I don't know if there is much difference between the two. But I do like the things I have heard on sirius

I've listened to both, and I've found XM to be generally a bit better in their programming, at least currently. I found that with the exception of the stations David mentioned, their themed stations tend to repeat tracks a lot. In three days of listening to it while using someone's car with Sirrius, I heard the same song a number of times, and that happened on more than one station.

Abby and I have XM in her car, and we've probably been turned onto a few dozen bands thanks to their XMU ("college") and other stations.

I hear ya both, and I really like the XM2Go portable receiver, but... only Sirius as NPR, which I listen to all the time. And only Sirius has NFL football. Oh wait, that's some other guy who cares about that. And Sirius has Court TV which seems cool to me.

NPR is a big factor for me.
