I came across a copy of Messiah's Handbook just the other day "by accident." *chuckle* It's wonderful, complete with all the sayings from Illusions, plus a whole bunch more. Classic Bach.
The Ferret Chronicles are very sweet, reminiscent of Someplace to Be Flying. My favorite was Writer Ferrets.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Bach when Ferret Chronicles launched. He told me that he became enamored with ferrets just when he figured he had said all he could with his writing. The mischevious nature of ferrets inspired him to remember that his writing was for fun. I hope you get a chance to read them. I think a new one just came out and if I remember correctly, Bach says that as long as he's alive and writing, then there will be Ferret stories. His publisher is committed to seven, however.
I always pictured the Messiah's Handbook as saying something completely different every time it is opened. Thus, i think I will be disappointed when I have read it in its entirety. Still it sounds like a worthy pickup.

Then don't read it straight through... just do with it as they do in Illusions... randomly open it when you're searching for answers or inspiration or whatever... but don't read it straight through...
