CNN's endless autism headlines

I don't mind, but it sure stands out as odd that every time I go to CNN.com there's a completely new unrelated front page story about autism. Literally, for the last day or two, there's been like six different top autism headlines. Is it some kind of autism awareness day or something?

I can't understand all those people who are refusing to vaccinate their kids because they think the vaccines will make them become autistic. Ugh...

When the last five conventional paradigm refutations of this in normal media are so incoherent they confirm the linkage, it doesn't help. [Counting in just February and March.] The latest one I saw was a Federal court-mandated payout (FDA lost the case) because a fever from a multi-target vaccine overloaded a mitochondrial DNA defect, which immediately caused Kanner autism. The FDA lawyer's attempt to explain why the court had misruled was pathetic -- Kanner autism is defined phenomenologically, so he ended up making the ruling sound factually correct.

The balanced approach to mitigating vaccine risk (e.g., what the M.D. uncle of mine does and is having my married sister do) is to give all of the recommended vaccinations as single-vaccine shots. (It's not just thimerosal metabolizing to ethyl mercury that's a risk factor. In fact, there has been a general push by the U.S. FDA since 2001 to force reformulated vaccines through.)

Jenny McCarthy is a terrible spokeswoman.
