Ganked from azure_dragon and scandiamaxie"The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed
( Read more... )
Complete Works of Shakespeare has all the plays, and each play have their own books so thats why Hamlet is placed there, but Im surprised a few of his plays arent in top 100 such as Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Chronicles of Narnia is also a complete work, and each story also have their own book so the same idea applies.
I've read 17 of these. Didn't hate any of them, actually. The bible's actually a decent read, as long as you don't take it seriously... (Says the Pastafarian ;-) )
BTW, just skip the Bombadil chapter if you ever try reading the LoTR books again. It has no effect on the story whatsoever. (That's part of the reason Jackson cut it from his movies!)
