I devoured A Discovery of Witches. Can't wait for the next book in the trilogy. I some problems with it - I thought she lost herself a bit in ... well, I won't say. I don't want to spoil you. It's kind of a Twilight saga for an older more learned audience.
I really, really liked Maisie Dobbs a lot. I've already brought home the second book in the series from the library. Maisie is a truly interesting character. I enjoy reading about the period. (the present is 1929.. about a third of the book is a flashback to before and during the war).
No, I already own copies of both books and, in fact, have read all the Maisie books and am currently waiting for Elegy for Eddie which is due out in March. Shadows of Night, the sequel to Discovery is, I think, due out in June.

Both books are very well written.
You're thinking of reading them?
