It always seems worse when they die so young or have to be put to sleep because of health issues. I remember when my Sedna's Brother had to be put down because his epilepsy was so bad, he was only something like 10 months.

And yeah, you never know what they can pick up just being in the Vet's Office.

Yeah. I posted a few weeks ago about my friends putting their dog down. He was 14, he had cancer, he was ready to go.

It was very sad. But he had 13 good years. This won't help give me perspective when it's Sanji's time, because she's my own sweet girl. But I think it explains why I find the death of the puppy I didn't know this week, harder to get over than the death of Truman 5 weeks ago.

And thanks for understanding my worries about contagion. I felt kinda selfish. Not wrong. But selfish.

Aw, that poor little pup. I'm glad though that it didn't die of something transmittable.

On my Facebook page, I've 'liked' one of the local county animal shelters and I enjoy seeing all the "I'VE GOT A FOREVER HOME!" posts they make. It reminds you that good things do happen.
