1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before? Most of 2009 was spent nearly dying a few times, but it would appear I'm still trucking. Also lost my first pet, wrote volumes on a regular basis, and bought a really big TV.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I don't make new years' resolutions.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Not that I can recall....

4. Did anyone close to you die? Tipper (cause he totally counts), Great Aunt Josephine

5. What countries did you visit? None

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009? Love, friendship, ambition, inspiration

7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? March 24th because it was the start of a new path and a new life.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Losing 100 pounds.

9. What was your biggest failure? Not making any progress on my dreams no matter how frivolous and silly they may seem.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Did I ever! Nearly paralyzed by a wicked case of blood clots, reynaud's disease, wrist injury, kidney issues... etc. It's been a ROUGH year.

11. What was the best thing you bought? Giant TV, it really is pretty.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? my russian sisters, for always being there for me and more like family than my real family.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? My sister does a lot of things I really just don't understand.

14. Where did most of your money go? hospital bills, more hospital bills, debt.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Anything Australia related, my birthday, christmas!

16. What song will always remind you of 2009? Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you?

17. Compared to this time last year, are you: i. Happier or sadder? Much happier. ii. Thinner or fatter? Thinner. iii. Richer or poorer? Richer.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of? went out and enjoyed more things with friends

19. What do you wish you'd done less of? sitting in hospitals and doctor's offices

20. How will you be spending Christmas? At home with my close family, watching movies and keeping warm.

21. How will you be spending New Years? With Dick? of the Clark variety?

22. Did you fall in love in 2009? Not yet, but I made some of the best friends in the world.

23. How many one night stands? None.

24. What were your favorite TV programs? Grey's Anatomy, hands down, forever. I also watched a lot of Office as always, Kendra, Girls Next Door, and Wrestling.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? Hate's a really strong word. There's a few people in my writing group that annoy me and a coworker I've recently become very very unfond of but I wouldn't really say hate just yet.

26. What was the best book you read? Time Traveller's Wife

27. What was your greatest musical discovery? Sleeping at Last, Dave Mathews Band, and weirdly enough kind of enjoyed a little Jay-Z.

28. What did you want and get? A loan to make my debt manageable.

29. What did you want and not get? A vacation to somewhere pretty.

30. What was your favorite film of this year? Oh my god, 500 Days of Summer. I was obsessed.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I turned 22 this year and had three different tiny little birthday parties that really made the whole day special. Lots of fun, lots of drinking, lots of great friends.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Not getting a blood clot.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009? Trademark staples.

34. What kept you sane? Writing all the time, writing.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Zooey Deschanel.

36. What political issue stirred you the most? I really don't follow politics and for good reason.

37. Who did you miss? Honestly? Maxx.

38. Who was the best new person you met? Kristen! Don't know what my days would be filled with if it wasn't for her. <3

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009. One day at a time. All you can do is make the one day you're currently living a good one and the rest will fall in place on it's own.
