So here it is, 2:30am, and I'm awake, not because I'm trying to cram some extra words for NaNo (I hit 50K on the 8th and progress toward finishing the story is going well, hit 71K tonight) though I'll probably end up writing a bit on it, nor because I'm excited to be going home to NH, though is is also very cool, as I can see my friends more

Is selling it privately via craigslist or donating it via freecycle an option? I swear over the years my dad has had cars without titles that he was able to file for a lost title or somesuch with the dmv... unfortunately that may be nc only.

Well, it's now gone, which I'm sure will come back to bite me later, but I'm somewhat relieved for the moment. I literally ended up going to sleep at 530 this am. As far as I gather, scrapping or donating the car also would have required a title, with the exception of that one place. I was going to see if somehow I could get a title issued by VA, but the website was down last night. I looked into getting one from NH, but because you don't need one for cars older than 15 yrs, they don't issue them for cars over 15yrs. If it would have required registering it in VA to get the title, it would have been pretty expensive as it would require either getting insurance for a car I don't drive or paying their ridiculous "you don't have enough money for insurance? give us $500 and no that doesn't count as insurance, just a poor tax" fee.
