I loved this movie but the translations for Jonghyun's parts were a mess...

These are just their cuts, so it didn't come all at once, if that's what you're asking? The movie is about all of SM Town, so it went from artist to artist. And I agree, a lot of people have talked about how they're different from their stage persona but keep acting a certain way to remain memorable - Joon of MBLAQ, Gyuri of KARA, &c. I think Jonghyun likes surprising fans, a lot: he comes off as silly and charming, but it's just the tip of the iceberg; his interviews are always some of the most thoughtful, along with Minho's and Key's

I totally misheard the 더 그 나이 또래 part as 더 근(큰) 아이돌에, crying; 나이 또래 means "age group" (like a cohort I guess?). He doesn't say "idol" at all. c r y i n g so dumb I am, I am so dumb!! 그 나이 또래, not 큰 아이돌에 cries lmao I messed up all the ending consonants ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠxinfinity The subs were accurate then!!

crying at us tbh because when I was listening to it with the words in front of me the next day, I thought I heard 더 그 나 (I thought that was a word though which just proves I know nothing ha) and didn't think it sounded quite like 아이돌에 but I was like, what do I know!! It makes sense!! L O L. I started to ask my friend about it but then I was like I AM LESS AND LESS SURE, I WILL JUST ASSUME I AM A FOOL WHO KNOWS NOTHING. You can't trust me with anything, I was conveniently only sure of the obvious parts....

It's interesting to me that Key hasn't spoken up much lately in Japan; in the Osaka TV broadcast, he barely said two words. I think he's simultaneously settled into a persona that suits him and that has key (ha) differences from his real self; but he is very comfortable with it, like you said, and it's helped him a lot; I feel like I see a lot less insecurity from him, especially looking at that recent solo interview where he reflected on his past interview responses about his brusqueness, &c. I think he had a bit of extra difficulty, coming from Busan, but he understands those things much better now
